Executive produced by multiple Emmy Award winner Lorne Michaels (“Saturday Night Live”), the groundbreaking “The Kids in the Hall” series ran from 1989-1995 and featured a multi-talented cast:  Dave Foley (“News Radio”), Bruce McCulloch (Stealing Harvard), Kevin McDonald (“That 70’s Show”), Mark McKinney (“Saturday Night Live”), and Scott Thompson (“The Larry Sanders Show”).

The freewheeling and surreal “The Kids in the Hall” ranks as one of the most unique sketch comedy series of all time.  The troupe’s inimitable brand of humor is an unlikely mixture of satire, anarchic spontaneity, irreverent absurdities and razor-sharp monologues.  After quickly gaining a fanatical following in Toronto, iconic comedy producer Lorne Michaels scouted them and brought them to New York.

During their original cable and network run, The Kids garnered huge acclaim and received multiple Emmy nominations.  Now, more than a decade later, “The Kids in the Hall” is as popular as ever as evidenced by the strong ratings for the series in syndication on Comedy Central and their sold-out North American live tours in 2000 and 2002.  In 1996, a major motion picture, The Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy, was released. Since then, the series’ stars – Mark McKinney, Bruce McCulloch, Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald and Scott Thompson – have continued to have great success in films and on major television series including “Saturday Night Live,” “News Radio,” “That 70s Show” and “The Larry Sanders Show.”
